Utility Connections

Homburg Real Estate utilises the services of a Utility Service Connection provider.

The process is simple; when you are signing you lease, simply complete the connection authority and ask the property manager to fax it. Shortly after the fax has been received, you will receive a phone call confirming the details on the connection request. The phone call should take no longer than 3 minutes. When you take tenancy at your new home, all services should be connected as per your request.

One thing that you need to remember, this is a service provided by a third party and no responsibility can be taken by Homburg Real Estate for service connection problems. All faults and reports relating to your supply must be directed to the providers Customer Service Centre.

Repairs and Maintenance

Homburg Real Estate use preferred contractors and will arrange for any repairs or maintenance to be done on behalf of the landlord. To ensure a quick response we request that all maintenance reports be submitted in writing directly to your property manager.

Unfortunately should you arrange your own maintenance without our authorisation we cannot guarantee you will be refunded for the expense incurred. If you have an emergency after hours, contact our afterhour’s maintenance service, report the fault, and the on duty team member will arrange for a tradesperson attendance to rectify the fault.

Lawns & garden maintenance

Unless stated as a special condition in your Tenancy Agreement, all lawns and gardens are your responsibility. We have a few preferred contractors that we can recommend should you wish to engage a helping hand.

Contents Insurance

For your own protection, we strongly recommend you take out contents insurance which includes tenant liability.

The local councils collect general waste from your property together with any recycling. Your property has been provided with the relevant bins to comply with the council requirements for pick up. It is your responsibility to contact your local council to clarify collection dates and ensure that the bins are appropriately placed for collection.
